No, it's virtually painless. You might experience the odd spike of heat, but most of my clients are genuinely surprised by how little they feel. Clients who've previously had laser hair removal using other machines often can't believe I'm actually treating them because they can barely feel anything.
-
I generally advise between 6 and 10 sessions, although I'll always aim to get you there as quickly as possible.
Ultimately, we're treating the symptom, which is the hair, rather than the underlying cause, which is the hormonal activity triggering that hair growth. That's not something I can control, and it's why the number of sessions can vary from person to person.

Laser hair removal is designed to achieve long term hair reduction by damaging the follicles responsible for producing hair.
Successfully destroyed follicles cannot produce hair again. However, we also have dormant follicles that may become active in response to hormonal changes, including pregnancy.
This doesn't mean everyone will experience new growth, and full regrowth is unlikely.
Most people will require maintenance treatments. This may be once or twice a year, or every couple of years. It depends on your own growth cycle.
-
Absolutely. I've been performing laser hair removal for over 11 years, and I've seen excellent results in clients with PCOS and hormonal hair growth.
However, you may need more sessions than someone who doesn't have PCOS, and you will likely need ongoing maintenance sessions.

Soprano ICE can treat a wide range of skin tones, including darker skin tones. Hair colour is important, though, because laser works by targeting pigment in the hair.
Grey, white and red hair generally don't respond effectively. We'll assess your suitability during your consultation and patch test.

Most areas of the face and body can be treated, with the exception of the eyebrows and the immediate eye area.
-
Yes. The area being treated needs to be completely shaved, so the skin is smooth and there is no visible hair above the surface.
-
No. You can shave between appointments, but you shouldn't wax or pluck because we need the hair follicle to contain a pigmented hair for the laser to target.
Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal is where my journey into aesthetics began.
After experiencing a really unprofessional consultation and patch test at one of the UK's leading laser hair removal chains, I decided I wanted to do things differently.
As someone who has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), excess testosterone and hair that would regrow within 12 hours of shaving, I understand firsthand just how life changing laser hair removal can be.
I use Soprano ICE laser technology, which offers a virtually painless approach to long term hair reduction.
I chose this machine because I have a really low pain threshold myself. I knew that if I found laser hair removal painful, I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending it to someone else. And it's genuinely not painful with this machine.

What happens at your consultation
You'll complete a consultation form so I can take a full medical history and check your suitability for treatment.
We'll then talk about what you'd ideally like to achieve.
I'll explain how laser hair removal works, show you how the technology operates and why the treatment is so comfortable, and carry out your patch test.
You can then go away, monitor the patch tested area and have a think about whether you'd like to proceed. There's no pressure to book a course of treatments there and then.

I charge £20 for your laser hair removal consultation and patch test.
The £20 fee is payable in advance to secure your appointment.
